The 2015-16 TPAC Broadway Series features a lineup of shows with storybook themes, including the Nashville debut of "Matilda the Musical," (pictured) based on the book by Roal Dahl.

The Tennessee Performing Arts Center (TPAC) celebrates its 35th anniversary this year, and the 2015-16 TPAC Broadway Series features the return of The Phantom of the Opera in a newly staged production along with six shows with storybook themes that are making their Nashville debuts.  In addition, there are three Broadway special add-on musicals.

“Our theme for the coming year is ‘Stories you remember, shows you’ll never forget,'” says Kathleen O’Brien, TPAC president and CEO. “We want to offer audiences a chance to revisit some of their favorite Broadway productions as well as a chance to experience without boundaries the familiar characters, stories and music from other titles in a way that only Broadway can provide,” she adds.

The TPAC Broadway Series lineup includes:

Dirty Dancing — Sept. 22 – 27, 2015
Bullets Over Broadway — Nov. 10 – 15, 2015
Matilda the Musical — Jan. 26 – 31, 2016
Motown the Musical — Feb. 16 – 21, 2016
The Phantom of the Opera — March 9 – 20, 2016
The Bridges of Madison County – May 10 – 15, 2016
If/Then — June 7 – 12, 2016

The Broadway special add-on shows are:

Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella — Oct. 20 – 25, 2015
Mamma Mia! — April 26 – May 1, 2016
Disney’s Beauty and the Beast — May 31 – June 5, 2016
