One teacher encourages parents to engage their kids in bigger life lessons than academics over the summer.
At least one wonderful teacher advises parents not to fret over the summer about kids reading enough, doing long division worksheets and science lessons.
Fret no more! Here are one teacher’s tips for parents over the summer (I will keep the teacher anonymous!)
1) Help your child learn to make decisions and accept the results of those decisions
2) Give your child the gift of organization and a strategy to develop it
3) Share times that are creative, not expensive
4) Encourage independence, but don’t expect it to be without limits
5) Have fun
