If your child's into coding, making music or videos, take advantage of Apple's FREE summer camps at the CoolSprings location.

Hey techy kids! Did you know the Apple Store has FREE summer camps? Spots are filling up fast and some already have a wait list! The three-day camps for ages 8 – 12 take place inside the store July 9 – 15, 16 – 22, 23 – 29 and July 30 – Aug. 4 at either 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. or 2 – 3:30 p.m. Each camp offering is three one-hour sessions.

Free Camp Offerings

Coding with Sphero Robots
Learn how to solve problems logically through the fundamentals of code. Campers learn a new coding concept and practice problem-solving skills. Partner up for fun activities to program their Sphero to change colors, create sounds, complete challenges and more. You even design your own game.

Beat Making and Songwriting with GarageBand
Discover how to create beats and build their own songs using GarageBand on iPad. Explore basic elements of song structure and how beats create the foundation of a song. Get hands-on as you create music using Touch Instruments, add vocals and fine-tune your creation with GarageBand on iPad. On day 3, share your song with the group.

Telling Stories with Clips
Explore how to tell stories with video using the Clips app. Campers brainstorm and storyboard their ideas, capture short videos in groups, edit and enhance their shots with fun graphics and filters, add opening and closing titles in the Clips app on iPad, and show a presentation of their creation on the final day.
