Help spread holiday cheer this season by participating in the Bows & Ballcaps Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, Dec. 2 at the Bluegrass Yacht & Country Club (550 Johnny Cash Pkwy., Hendersonville). You can reserve tickets now.

Bows & Ballcaps is a local non-profit offering love and support to kids fighting cancer. In particular, its focus is on kids who have lost their hair from cancer treatments.

The organization was founded in 2013 by then 10-year-old Hannah Grubbs. Hannah has been bald all her life from Alopecia Areata. Her mission is to encourage other children to be comfortable and confident being bald. She also aims to remind others that what counts is who someone is on the inside.

Bows & Ballcaps collects new bows, ballcaps, headbands, scarves and other headwear through donations and distributes them to kids.

The non-profit hosts the Breakfast with Santa event, and it includes a toy drive. Aside from the admission fee, attendees should bring a new, unwrapped toy for ages infant to teens. The toys will be given to children spending Christmas day at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital.

There are two breakfast seatings, at 8:30 and 11 a.m. The outing includes a breakfast buffet, photos with Santa, crafts, live entertainment and more.

Tickets are $19.50 adults, $15.50 ages 3 – 12, $5.50 ages 2 & younger. For tickets and more info, visit
