There's a world of culture just waiting for you to explore at the Center for Chinese Music and Culture in Murfreesboro.
Get a close look at musical instruments and more with a visit to Center for Chinese Music and Culture (CCMC). It features a musical instrument gallery, library, archives and classrooms. The center also hosts visiting scholars and artists, concerts, lectures and workshops. You can experience it for yourself during CCMC’s open house Thursday, Aug. 16 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
The Center’s musical instrument gallery holds more than 100 Chinese musical instruments, including a replica set of ancient bronze chime bells made in 433 BCE. During the open house, visit the gallery and listen to lectures and demonstrations on traditional Chinese musical instruments.
Center for Chinese Music & Culture
Its mission is to engage and educate Middle Tennessee about the rich and diverse musical traditions of China. Regular hours are Mon – Fri 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. or by appointment.
