About Summer at Currey Ingram Academy
On an 83-acre campus, campers will enjoy nature trails, creek, sports fields, and creative indoor space at Currey Ingram Academy’s two summer camps. Camp Beech Creek at Currey Ingram is a summer camp open to any children in rising kindergarten through sixth-grade. Campers enjoy “make-your- own-morning” elective choices and afternoon weekly themed sessions. While campers can come for the morning or afternoon only, we strongly encourage the full-day Camp Beech Creek experience. The lunch hour is supervised, and lunch can be provided for an additional fee. Before- and after-care are also available. “My daughter did the outdoor survival morning camp as a rising sixth-grader and LOVED it. She still talks about what she learned. As a regular camper at other local programs, the Currey Ingram camps always sat at the very top of her must-do list,” said parent Laura Braam.
The ADHD Summer Treatment Program (STP) at Currey Ingram is for students ages 8-12 with ADHD. This intensive six-week program is designed like a day camp and runs from June 12 to July 28. Each day includes outdoor play and games, social skills work, academic time and more. All activities are designed to help students better self-regulate, listen more attentively, and learn crucial social, academic and motor skills that will help them live more productive lives. Parents are also required to come to a weekly parent meeting from 4:30 to 6 p.m. “I am eternally grateful for the immense improvement we see in my grandson after the summer STP Camp. His success at camp positioned him for even more success at school this year. I highly recommend this program,” said Bess Forshaw. All camp staff are current or former Currey Ingram Academy educators.
