“Sensuous Steel: Art Deco Automobiles,” currently on exhibit at The Frist Center for Visual Arts, displays Art Deco automobiles from some of the most renowned car collections in the United States — but it’s far more than that. The current exhibit is a once in a lifetime collection allowing you and the kids to see some of the finest cars ever made in America. It is both a tribute to American creativity and inventiveness. As you walk back in time, you’ll be astounded by the quality and ultimate imagination employed in automobile design … and you’ll wonder why we ever got away from it.
Inspired by the Frist Center’s historic Art Deco building, this exhibition features spectacular automobiles and motorcycles from the 1930s and 40s. The setting inside the Frist Center allows for a dramatic and wonderful outing for the entire family. As I walked out the doors of the exhibit, I came away thinking about how important our dreams are and how amazing mankind is when aspirations and dreams come together to create history.
You have until Sept. 15 to view this terrific exhibit. Get there and start dreaming!
