Learn Special Effects Makeup

Kids can learn how to transform ordinary humans into other-worldly beings during a special class in Hendersonville.

Theater buffs and makeup enthusiasts can learn a creative skill during the Makeup and Special Effects Class at Hendersonville Performing Arts Company.

The two-week class for ages 13 and older takes place Jan. 10 – 20. Local artists Deron Martels and Robert Pitt teach the course. Topics include Covering (shading and bruising); 3D Makeup Effects; Sculpting with Oil and Water Clay; Mold Makeup; Life Casting; Air Brushing and more.

Classes take place Wed – Fri 6:30 – 8:30 p.m., Sat 12 – 3:30 p.m. Cost is $150, and registration is underway.
