Name That Elementary School!

by |

Yet another new elementary school is being constructed in Murfreesboro, but it has no name! You can change that.

Murfreesboro City Schools needs your help naming the new elementary school. Participate in the School Naming Contest now through Friday, Nov. 16. Submit a name suggestion online at bit.ly/mcsnametheschool. You can also e-mail your name suggestions to lisa.trail@cityschools.net with the subject line: School Naming Contest.

All suggestions go before the school naming committee, who later presents a slate of names to the City School Board for final approval.

Until an official name is adopted, the school will be referenced as Southwest Elementary. The new two-story, 140,000-square-foot school — located at 3275 St. Andrews Drive, Murfreesboro — will include 51 regular classrooms and two special education classrooms.
