New for Kids at Boat Show

by |

The Nashville Boat Show at Music City Center is Jan. 10 - 13. Twiggy the Water-Skiing Squirrel returns along with a new slate of activities for children.

It may be chilly outside this weekend, but things are heatin’ up inside Music City Center looking toward summer during the 2019 Nashville Boat Show. It takes place Jan. 10 – 13.

You can check out the latest in marine vehicles, equipment and gear. The show boasts other fun components as well, including the much-anticipated return of Twiggy the Water-Skiing Squirrel — she spent her time away becoming famous in Brad Paisley’s “River Bank” music video.

The Boat Show promises to be more fun than ever for youngsters. “Kids’ Discover-A-Boat” for ages 5 – 12 invites children to climb aboard and investigate recreational watercrafts of all kinds. They’ll get a discovery card to complete with each stop with a prize at the end (while supplies last).

Ages 5 – 12 can stop by the “Kids’ Create-A-Crankbait” station to color a plastic crankbait and apply stick-on lures for a custom souvenir they can take home (also while supplies last).

Children ages 6 – 13 can participate in “Kids’ Boating 101: Take On-Water Education On Land.” This education activity helps kids learn the fun and safety of boating in an interactive setting.

Music City Center is located at 201 Fifth Ave. S., Nashville. Times are Thu 2 – 9 p.m., Fri 12 – 9 p.m., Sat 10 a.m. – 9 p.m., Sun 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Tickets are $12 ages 13 & older, free ages 12 & younger with a paid adult.
