New Learning Zone Comes to the ‘Boro

by |

There’s a new brand of child development center opening in the Murfreesboro by the end of the summer — Learning Zone Child Care.

Children ages 6 weeks through pre-kindergarten are accepted at the new Learning Zone and the curriculum, called STEAM (an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math), encourages children to explore, ask questions, experiment and discover through their own imagination.

“We take a play-based, child-directed approach to early childhood education,” says Christine Arrington, director of imagination at Learning Zone. “Our learning model focuses on sparking creativity and curiosity in all children in a hands-on manner. Our innovative approach will not only strengthen the foundation of knowledge in the early years, but also prepare our students for the careers that will be in high demand in the coming years,” she adds.

Learning Zone is located at 1021 John R. Rice Blvd. (with plans in the works for the next two locations). Visit learningzonechildcare.com.

Kiera Ashford is associate editor of Nashville Parent and mother of three.
