New Lessons at Dance Classics

by |

Dance Classics in Murfreesboro expands to bring your little dancer even more options to express herself.

New offerings beginning in August at Dance Classics include Acro/Jazz dance program, Kinder Ballet, Beginning Teen Ballet, Hip Hop/Jazz Combo and Jazz/Tap Combo. These new classes use a special curriculum called Acrobatique 101 Beginner AcroDance, which is a specially designed introductory class. As students progress through this program, they learn tricks such as headstands, handstands, cartwheels, bridges and introductory partner work.

Beginning Acro/Jazz classes take place twice a week at 4:45 p.m. (Monday’s for ages 4 – 6 and Friday’s for ages 6 – 8).

Kinder Ballet is a ballet class for children entering Kindergarten this year. It introduces working at the barre, classical ballet positions, large and small motor movements, musicality, coordination and grace.
Beginning Teen Ballet is for the older student who wants to start ballet but may not be ready to join other dancers who have been studying ballet for a while. This class introduces correct ballet technique at a pace that is appropriate for a beginner-leveled dancer.

The new Hip Hop/Jazz Combo and Jazz/Tap Combo classes are for ages 4 and older.

Dance Classics is located at 1178 Park Ave., Murfreesboro. Call 615-378-7152 or visit danceclassicstn.com.
