Outing Review: Carrie Underwood: The Blown Away Tour Exhibit

by |

Take your kids to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum and check out the new exhibit, Carrie Underwood: The Blown Away Tour. Young female fans will love seeing the array of Underwood’s costumes, accessories, microphones (especially the purple one!), props and backstage items, including artwork from her most ardent admirers.

Blown Away was a landmark tour for the American Idol superstar, playing 112 dates in 110 cities between 2012 and 2013. The exhibit portrays the path of all four acts of her show — Act 1: Storm Warning; Act 2: Lightning; Act 3: Twister; and Act 4: Blown Away.

The exhibit runs through Sunday, Nov. 10. And while you’re there, have fun in the rest of the museum. The Archive Arcade on the third floor lets kids create costumes on touch screen devices, and your littlest ones can grab a coloring sheet at the nearby table and go to town.

The Hall is open daily 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., located at 222 Fifth Ave. S., Nashville. Admission is $22 adults, $14 ages 6 – 17, free ages 5 and younger. Call 416-2001 or visit countrymusichalloffame.org.
