Secret Lab at SOAC

by |

Take the kids over to Smyrna Outdoor Adventure Center for its latest exhibit, Thomas Edison's Secret Lab!

The Smyrna Outdoor Adventure Center (SOAC) is the first recipient of a brand new exhibit, THOMAS EDISON’S SECRET LAB! This new exhibit, inspired by the animated show, Thomas Edison’s Secret Lab, showcases Edison, Angie and other characters. Join explorations of science topics with all kinds of fun and informative features.

Kids enjoy hands-on experiences that introduce STEM concepts, build enthusiasm for related education and careers, and more. You’ll also learn about some of the greatest scientists and innovators from throughout history. The fun continues as you experiment with electricity, magnetism, optics, sound waves and air pressure and the fun physics laws. Kids who love coding have something to enjoy, too. While you’re there, learn basic coding with a fun introduction to no-tech, low-tech and high-tech ways to use technology as a tool.

The SOAC is located at 100 Sam Ridley Parkway East, Smyrna. Hours are Tue/Wed/Thu 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., Fri 10 a.m. – 8 p.m., Sat 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Sun 12 – 5 p.m. Admission is $7 ages 13 – 54 ($4 with no climbing), $5 ages 3 – 12 ($3 with no climbing). Learn more at or call 615-459-9710.
