Sunny Summer Baby

by |

Baby loves to enjoy the outdoors as much as anyone else, but protect that new skin from the sun's harmful rays with these cool products.

With summer days filled with activities outdoors including the entire family, it’s important to remember the safety of your littlest ones. However, you might not know when (at what age) you should start to apply sunscreen to a baby. Well, according to Anna Morad, M.D., assistant professor of Pediatrics at Vanderbilt Under, children younger than six months of age should avoid direct sun altogether. She advises that parents use sunshades or light clothing when you have to be outside and in the sun. She also adds, “It is OK to use sunscreen on infants younger than six months for the areas that can’t be covered or if direct sunlight can’t be avoided. Infants older than six months should have sunscreen applied and avoid the period of highest UV risk between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.”

With that in mind, we’ve rounded up some of the coolest shades for Baby to protect that perfectly plush skin from the sun.
