Dreaming of a little turkey and stuffing? Get a little exercise before the big day, and help others less fortunate.
Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 23, marks the 17th running of the Turkey Trot for GraceWorks Ministries. The fun event provides a healthy and fun outlet for families and friends wishing to give back on Thanksgiving.  All ages and calibers of “trotters” will descend upon D1 Sports Complex in Franklin, at 7115 S. Springs Drive in Franklin, beginning at 6:30 a.m. for registration.  The 5K trot starts the morning off at 8 a.m. ($40; see run map here), followed by the Kids’ Kilometer Fun Run at 9 a.m. (for ages 9 and younger, $12.50).

Last year, more than 3,300 trotters gathered at D1 Sports Complex to participate in the morning run; it’s an excellent way to give back to the community. Long-sleeve performance blend tee shirts are guaranteed to the first 3,000 runners and the first 200 kids who register for the fun run. Register Now for the event.
