Support the nonprofit Autism Speaks during its annual fundraiser, Walk Now for Autism Speaks on Saturday, Sept. 6 at Centennial Park.

Founded in 2005, Autism Speaks is the world’s leading autism science and advocacy organization dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a cure for autism. The nonprofit also works to increase awareness of autism spectrum disorders and advocates for the needs of those with autism and their families. One of the organization’s leading ways to raise money is through Walk Now for Autism Speaks, taking place on Saturday, Sept. 6 at Centennial Park (2500 West End Ave., Nashville). Registration for this family-friendly event is at 8 a.m. with the walk begins at 9:30 a.m. There is no registration fee for participants, but the organization asks walkers to raise a minimum of $150 in pledges.
